Madonna Meets The Press 1980

Elterman writes:
“I was hired by Dick Clark’s press agent to cover the American Music Awards nearly every year for a decade. I had incredible access and I wanted to make a great photograph of this new singer called Madonna. There is little potential to be creative in this small area, but it made a wonderful photograph.”
Elterman’s celebrity photography is on view in an exhibition called ”Like It Was Yesterday” at Equator Books, 1103 Abbot Kinney Blvd.,Venice, California. The show was recently extended through July 23.

Wow – love the lady in the striped pants no jacket or tie required for her… not even a collar. She was the only other female in the room with Madonna when she looked good, and she thought it would a good idea to wear workout pants and a sloppy joe? Professional I think not…

1980? Try 1985; Madonna wasn’t even famous in 1980 and this is at the ’85 AMA’s.

wow…sooo deserved this! afterward he was quoted saying: “I’m gonna love the stench of confidence on my personal tuxedo tonight when I grapple my own wife”. Gotta love him. Should you haven’t seen Sherlock Holmes, SEE IT! He’s pure genious…and gorgeousness!
