Luke Smalley (1955–2009), who died last May, was known for his playfully provocative imagery intertwining fashion, youth culture and masculinity. Sunday Drive is his final project—a frisky off-beat narrative of three beautiful young women prepping themselves for a Sunday drive to see their incarcerated boyfriends at the State penitentiary. The opening reception for Luke Smalley’s Sunday Drive is Thursday, November 5, from 6–8pm, the exhibit will be on view through December 19 at ClampArt, New York City. Sunday Drive by Luke Smalley is also a new book published by TwinPalms.

When I saw Luke’s work in the Twin Palms catalogue several years ago I knew I was seeing greatness. I’m so sorry I never had a chance to meet him. His photos were like viewing images that I wished I could have taken. He is one of the few photographers that I believe had an unique and very talented take on the male image.

I love tattoos and don’t for a minute regret having any of them, I’m currently getting a koi tattoo down my right arm can’t wait to get it finished! as can only afford smallsittings at anytime. My tattoo artist is extremly experienced and also extremly expensive but, he’s worth it! Great site btw
