Icelandic actress-musician Björk’s whimsical personality shines through in this hirsute portrait by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. More images from their series, “Hearts of Palme,” can be seen in the PDN Photo Annual 2010 winners gallery.

Hello,
Honestly, it’s a horrible ‘portrait’. Need I say that the beard is way too manicured? The lighting is perfect for a ‘formal portrait – 101′. The subject deserves a much, much more dramatic lighting. Werewolves, supposedly, come out at night on full moons only, so by default one main light source would’ve done the job.
So sorry, but who the Hell dressed her in that silk blouse from Filene’s Basement? And, just one other observation, the picture would’ve worked if she were outdoors.
Apologies, I am not being judgmental, I’m being descriptive.
But that was a waste of talent…
Björk, you’re a doll! And I wish I could’ve saved you from this one…
You deserve SO much better!
